Want to pwn at PvP? Then don't go with my build....
Want to be excellent overall in a lot of situations? Then do consider my build...

Protection Mastery

Improved Devotion Aura Rank 5
+200 armor. Not bad, not good. Redoubt doesn't have much purpose in my mind, since I almost never will use a shield. Better alternative, with more purpose then redoubt.

Improved Blessing of Protection Rank 2
Excellent investment for the points. Extra invulnerability is great for saving casters in both pvp and pve.

Protection Total: 7

Holy Mastery
Spiritual Focus Rank 5
Self-explanatory. Very useful, though 2/5 Spiritual Focus and 3/3 Imp. Holy Light is better for raids most likely, in most situations.
Revelation Rank 2
Illumination Rank 5
Divine Favor Rank 1
Holy Total: 13

Retribution Mastery
Benediction Rank 5 - Makes consecration and judgement easier.
Two-Handed Weapon Specialization Rank 5
Deflection Rank 5
Vengeance Rank 5
Seal of Command Rank 1
Precision Rank 3
Consecration Rank 1 - Best one point talent. Catch rogues, stop first aid, kill low point adds. Useful for pvp and pve.
Conviction Rank 5
Blessing of Kings Rank 1 - The best blessing. This during shorter fights, Wisdom for longer ones. Best overall blessing in the game.
Retribution Total: 31

I use pretty much the same build, except I scrapped protection completely, and went for improved holy light / improved flash of light. In retribution, I also went for anticipation instead of precision, and I only have 4 points in deflection...

A bit more focused and healing and not getting hit I guess, but they both follow the classic kings / divine favor paladin build.

only reason i would go into protect is the 1h im using and the improved BoP.

dont go into anticipation, its only a .4% chance increase to dodge, etc etc and that is kinda a waste of 5 talent pts.

Yeah but at that point in the retribution tree, its either that or getting to max precision like riot did... guess I could do that, but since I rarely play my paladin outside of raids, it wouldn't make that big of a difference

precision is more vital than many think, if you dont use your pally outside instances much what is your primary pvp char then?

I don't pvp, or very rarely do atm. Working on my mage, I'll see how it goes...

When battlegrounds are finally released, I'll probably consider going holy on my paladin.

I'm currently 22 Ret/17 Holy/12 Prot, which is pretty closed to balanced. I nevered like the lower Retribution talents, which try to add to crap DPS. BoK is nice, but I don't think that it's worth spending another 8 points. I also don't care much for the lower half the Holy tree. Holy shock is nice, and sanctity aura can be good at times, but not worth the lackluster pre-requisites.

Retribution
5 Benediction - Lower cost of Consecration
5 Two-handed Weapon Specilization
1 Seal of Command
5 Deflection
5 Ancitipation
1 Consecration

Protection
5 Improved Devotion Aura
2 Improved Blessing of Protection
5 Toughness

Holy
5 Spiritual Focus
3 Improved Holy Light
5 Illumination
1 Divine Favor
3 Improved Flash of Light

Some of it is still a holder-over from when I was main tank for instances, but I really don't see a large benefit to switching things around. Anticipation is also very good. When added together, the dodge and parry increases help, and the lower chance to be a victim of a crit is helpful.
