World PVP, Your thoughts.

This is a post I made on the Gen forums, Just curious how some of you veterans feel about world pvp and were it's gone too. ><

Blizzard, Since the test realm has been up for the minor patch. Alot of people have gone there to just PVP. Real world pvp without any worries about DK's. This is how it used to be. Maybe one day we can bring it back. I promise you Blizzard. If you gave us our own realm. Without Dk's It would have a 10,000 Que. Not kidding at all. Obviously we all agree with you. Though, I think its more than just the DK's stopping everyone from PvPing.

World PvP is something we all wish for. Sometimes raiding can be boring (AQ) and "PVP" is the only thing left to do but I'd hardly call it pvp right now.

Aside from the DK's, I always thought having a name tag over your head thats 4 times as large as you just keep you from creativly using the terrain :(

Also server stability is a concern at the present time as well. Though its not as bad as it used to be, but you can easily crash the server by raiding Orgrimmar. I do miss the days of SS/TM raids that did go on in SH; however, our horde are incredibly passive even to the point where they would rather rot in a major city instead of playing intsa-queue battlegrounds.

World PvP in beta is what made me buy this game.

DK Civilian's are a big problem, and should have been changed a long time ago.

Server stability, like Agamos said, is also one of the main problems on our current servers that keeps large scale World PvP from ever being possible before a server crashes within 5 minutes.

Another big problem most people don't realize is - graveyard zerging. There is no possible way to keep territory in this game with even numbers. In towns, at ORBs, etc. There's no way to keep people out by force.

Lastly, there's no penalty for death in PvP, which in turn provides no risk to invading a town or attacking another player. There is also no incentive to kill another player, unless you are farming honor.

The honor system is very lame, and a poor time sink.

Yep, The sad thing is Blizzard deleted my post after like 30 replys of Man i miss those days, Bring pvp back! ect. ect. was banned from the forums too for 30 minutes.... please tell me what ToS I broke lol

Until BG PVP and real world PVP are not thrown into the same pot by Blizzard, i really don't see a return to city raids. It sucks 'cause there was a definite allure to the game knowing that when you log in, you could be under attack. now all i see is the occasional ganking over at menethil harbour
