Is it possible to use phpbb themes on a vb setup? I know of a few freelance sites that do theme creation and I'm fairly certain the cost of them are not much higher than $20.

Maybe other people will, remember, this is not a software upgrade for your own computer. I just want the plainest, simplest skin there is. And default fits the bill. Put it back as an option PLEASE.

i forgot where i saw the option, there's too many. but there's a legacy option that sets the info to the left instead of the top. but i think it changes for everyone, not a personal preference.

Why is it so hard to put the default skin in as an OPTION for old people like me who like antiquated things like BLACK text on a light background, and not the other way around.

There is scientific research proving black text on a light background is easier to read than the opposite.

Having the thread topic on top of every single post is retarded and just takes up space. Why is there? Is it there in case people forget what they are reading?

Exactly, it's a matter of style, did you expect everyone to agree with you on a matter of STYLE? I'm all for the new functionality and how this works better and more secure, but in terms of STYLE provide us with alternatives and don't just assume people will like the same things or want to adapt to your personal preference. If YOU wanted things to look different than the old board why do I have to adapt? I loved the old style, it was simple, easy to read, PERFECT.
