Only if you got pretty high critical strike ratings
this one should do just as fine for you

=> there is not so much you can do wrong with mage skills. If you are happy than it is fine.

What counts as a high critical strike rating these days? I typically hover around 30%, which seems high to me, but I'm curious how it compares to others.

Enzy one is exactly the one that I am using right now and imo it is the best dps output fire spec. I have once respecced to deep arcane and my fire dmg is like 772+, but the result was just not as good as deep fire one even tho the fire dmg on that is lower which is like 653. I can not figure out why tho :/

Just curios: Why take playing with fire 3 p. instead of playing with fire 1 p and firepower 2 p.

I personally would drop 3/3 playing with fire for 3/3 improved scorch.

With the advent of Icy Veins the 2/48/11 build has become quite popular. The fire line has a lot of unadvertised damage such as 3% bonus from Playing with Fire, 10% bonus to fire spells from Fire Power, additional 15% bonus to fireballs with Empowered fireball, and with Molten Fury you do 20% more damage when the target is at 20% or less health. Also in a raid environment you will have improved scorch debuff on the target upping fire damage by 15% which benefits warlocks as well, and they return the favor by putting up Curse of the Elements on the target adding and additional 10% Fire and Frost damage. Of all the bonus damage mentioned above.. only 13% of that is reported on your spell damage numbers.
Using combustion and icy veins leads to a rapid fire string of crits (if you have the icon of the silver crescent/lightning capacitor trinket combo, deep fire crits a lot and you should be getting some nice procs from the lightning capacitor). If you are placed in a party with a shaman who is dropping Wrath of Air, and maybe a boomkin in your group to give you an additional 5% damage.. you are in easy mode.. just spam fireball and periodically rotate a scorch in there to keep the debuff up.
After playing around with a bunch of different builds this is the one that produced the most DPS for me. I tried a deep arcane build, and I think without a 2 piece tier 5 bonus and a mana battery in the group I can't touch the deep fire DPS.
Just my two cents. And here is a link to the build.

Just a little fix to your build there Mcalavera moving a few points in the frost tree there, 3 into precision, 2 into warding would be better for whenever you actually use it, chances are you'll use it more than frostbolt.. or atleast i hope, and 2 into frost nova helps for fights like illidan when you have to take care of parasites, 3 into permafrost because the only time you'll ever use frostbolt is to slow something down.. hopefully.. and then the one into Icy Veins.
