Yea thats what alot of people have been telling me that Deathgate is basically Diablo 3. I'd probably roll a caster class. Mage, Sorc something like that.

Diablo 3 is a myth. Blizzard has other things to be worried about now anyways, like making money from WoW and finishing SC2. Diablo3 will probably be another MMO so most likely it wouldn't be mentioned until Blizzard feels like it's time to kill off WoW.

Diablo and Diablo 2 were made by Blizzard North. BN has been disbanded and most of the members have joined to make Hellgate:London. Mythos may look closer to Diablo but Hellgate:London is made by the same people and, in it's own special way is quite similar.Though there are only 2 classes. Diablo 3 will never happen because Blizz has no intention of bringing back Blizz North.

Mythos is made by flagship and the original creators of Diablo said Mythos is more like Diablo then Hellgate.

So there are 40 people at Blizzard working on something that isn't WoW or SC2. My bet is Diablo 3, which I expect will be a MMO.

Edit: Just because BN is gone doesn't mean Blizzard won't want to make a Diablo 3.

I do agree with this statement. The thought of Diablo 3 makes me want to dance the dance of demon killing.......... sorry, I played an assassin in Diablo 2.......

when blizz is ready to put wow to bed and move on, whispers of d3 will start to surface.

until then hellgate is your best bet

Btw, there's no reason Blizzard can't be developing D3 right now. I mean think about it, how long did it take to make WoW? 5 years, probably more? Blizzard could have started on Diablo 3 already with the intention of having it completed by the time they're ready to lay WoW to rest.

I was playing D2 about a month ago... I got myself built up to a decent position and then the jerks went and reset the ladder :(

After 1.09 was patched all up and all my awesome items were deleted, D2 went down hill :(

I probably wasted more hours on Diablo 2 than I have on WoW and i'd say thats a pretty nice chunk of time, then of course the bots and hacked items and garbage went and killed my beautiful game. But yea back to the original post, D3 isn't coming out. Ever. Sorry.

When reading this (http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/07/15/blizzard-reveals-new-unannounced-game-in-development/) and assuming that the three big things created by Blizzard are the Warcraft, the Starcraft and the Diablo universe and further assuming that they won't bring out two Warcraft or Starcraft games consecutively its most probable that the third one mentioned in the interview will have something to do with Diablo.
Nevertheless only time will tell ;)

I'm guessing Lazarus just responds to posts without reading the other posts... BN is gone. Does it really need to be spelt out anymore or what, but okay lets just say they do make Diablo 3 it will be another MMO and nothing like Diablo 2 and thats the last i'll bother responding to this.
