Rogue Socket Choices and Itemization

Ok, here's the deal.


I recently got my Slayer's gloves after about 90billion kills, and as we all know it has a blue socket.

I also have Don Alejandro's Money Belt as well, which is red / yellow.

My meta requires the retarded 2 blue gems as always, so the obvious choice is 1 blue gem in the chest and 1 blue gem somewhere else.

My question is:


5agi/5hit the gloves and keep my 10ap/7sta belt, or blue gem the gloves for the 4 AP socket bonus on the gloves and resocket the blue gem in my belt with the 5agi/5hit, getting both bonuses and keep the same (net) stats?

Yea, my cloak and trinket sucks. Waiting on Shadowmoon Destroyer's and DST ...well, doesn't exist. We'll hope the Council drops Madness in the upcoming weeks. No luck as of yet though :(

Well, my personal calculations show that the switching the sockets would net me about a 1 dps increase. Not worth the epic gems I guess.

I'd put a blue in the gloves, to maintain meta when you do Mother.

Hmm, I have a question as well. Not too sure on this but my current armory shows an alternate gear set I wear somtimes reducing my total haste rating from 11.98% to 6%. However I gain about 40 hit rating (I know I am over the cap right now) a bunch of ap and about 3% crit rating. Is the 6% haste worth sacrificing 40 hit rating, ap, and crit? I just don't know whats better.

Won't be 6% after next patch, and in your particular situation I would opt for the ap/hit/crit. Rather not have my eggs in one basket, but that's prob my major talking.

with weapon skill from the racial and weapon expertise, you should be fine on hit.
way too much atm, switch back to your haste gear.

i just picked up gronn stitched girdle and im wondering what gems to throw in it i was thinking 1 +8 hit and 1 +4 hit +4 agi to get a little xtra ap as apposed to the double +8 hit thats standerd till you hit the cap with it un-gemmed atm my hit is in the 260's
any suggestions would be much appreciated

I would go with double 8 hit gems.

What's with the 311 hit? Typically you are always better off under the cap than over.
