PS3 vs. 360

So right now im at home with nothing to do but stare at my wii and wish ssmbw would appear magically in front of it. I'm looking for a bit of advice here on what I should purchase: A 360 or a PS3? I know that Halo 3 is coming out soon, but are there going to be a good line of games for the 360 in the next year, or will the ps3 be the better choice?

360 has a better selection of games to play, I have all three systems and the xbox gets the most use.

360 for sure. For most people, if they aren't getting a Wii, they're getting the xbox. The Live community on 360 is a lot more active as well due to the larger playerbase. Sony really shot themselves in the foot with the Ps3... it's future is not looking so good.

I have the 360, ps3 and wii as well. I love the 360 the most, then the wii, then the ps3.

Give it a year or so, when more games come out for the ps3, and that might change, but right now, those are my rankings.

pretty much. But it is still worth it with their 3 year warranty.

Had a PS3. Sold it and got a 360. Unfortunately, yes I'm pretty sure every 360 breaks. I had mine for a few months and thought I would be one of the lucky ones, but about a week ago I had to send it in.

Better online, better games, more established community, so at the moment, the 360, but the PS3 may soon catch up.

sell a kidney and get both like I did. so many good games coming out soon for both consoles. although, if you are looking for something to play right this second, get the 360. PS3s main titles still got a few months.

Xbox Live multiplayer at this point is simply untouchable by any of the other consoles - so many games, so many players, basically unlimited opportunity to have fun.

360 All the way tbh, bought mine on the day it was released and havent gotten broken either which is a bit lucky from what ive heard and as stated Xbox live is quite active and has a better selection of games especially now closing in to the end of the year, Halo 3 , Mass Effect etc

FPS on consoles is AIDS. When I tried to play an FPS game on xbox I felt like digging my eyes out with a spoon. Consoles are good for... anything but FPS and RTS games.

a bit late answer but still, Gears of war and halo 3 on live, Guitarr hero when it comes to party games....There is more obviously but these are the ones i could think of first hand

Halo 3 is fun,although is till got to get used to controllers for fps'.Splinter Cell Double Agent and Skate is pretty wicked too on live.

ANYTHING that sticks out 2 inches is climbable. The coolest thing is that the clouds blocking the sun actually shade the ground. Looks amazing.

I'll miss the FF Series on Xbox i guess,but then again the only thing square/enix seems to do is pre/se/whatever-quels of the good ol' final fantasy 7.But then again,that's what emulators are for!

There are many rumors swirling about Square/enix deffecting to Microsoft... or at least co-producing for MS as well.

Simply put, more Xbox's = more copies of FF games sold.

I'm having lots of fun with my 360. It's nice to not worry about system upgrades and still be able to play Halo 3 and NHL 08 in HDMI.

only because there are no good games out for it yet. people magically forget that the 360s first year had no good games as well.
