Feral druid buff/HotW change

Confirmed on EU forums that Heart of the Wild will be changed from 4/8/12/16/20% increased strength to 2/4/6/8/10% increased attack power. This will also apply on Battle Shout, Expose Weakness, Blessing of Might, etc.. Overall, unless you're an AP stacker, it will also mean an increase in attack power.

I havent gone home to test my numbers to see my actual gain, but a guildie is getting a 248AP increase from this change with these new numbers (t6/75 with hyjal/BT leather pcs)

I'll check it out at the end of the week when I log back into wow. Three more weeks to the major exams. Interesting buff to the druid class. Looks like I'm going to start to ninja rogue gear from BT this weekend.

I'll gain roughly 285 attack power in the gear set I'll have to use come 2.3. That's with just mark of the wild.

Yeah, it's pretty nice. Definitely a buff for most feral druids. Add to that the AP change on a lot of the weapons and we should see a decent boost. Love the change. No complaints about the Rebirth cooldown reduction either. ;-)

And that's a helluva upgrade Stauros. Does that include the weapon change, or just the HotW change?

It includes the weapon change. But in calculating my change in AP, I will lose something like 165 ap from strength but will gain 185 from the flat increase on my weapon. So, I'll gain 250 or so on top of the weapon increase. I wear a decent amount of agility gear with attack power bonuses atm. For example, I just got the leather dps legs off of Kael, which are pure sex.

I'll have to go back and check my math on the AP changes. I had myself gaining about 80 or so from just that change. I guess it would make sense to lose a bit of AP with the change if you've gone more for AGI/Crit than Strength.

I come out like 300 ahead or something. I go from 2827 to 3131 (this is off the top of my head - I'd have to log on PTR again to make sure).

Sorry to burst your bubble but it can't happen. Even if you have talents or gear to reduce the cooldown to less than 15 minutes you still can't use it in arenas.

just tested my numbers, im getting a 153 AP increase with the change, not great I know but I raid as resto so my feral pieces arent as good as my resto.
