a bit off topic, but is killing bosses and handing in the essence of immortals the only way to remove the shield/gate? Seeing as you have gotten a bit further on the US ptr, then the europeans have.

Yes, but rumor has it that both Kael and Vashj as well as BT/Hyjal bosses will drop essences.

Ah ok, was just considering the fact not all servers have loads of guilds that have killed Illidan.
On ours for Example we only have 4 guilds thats downed him and was just thinking it would take
quite a while for us to get thru the first gates, assuming those 4 guilds are the only ones that manage to bring down the Sunwell bosses.

Don't really understand what you're saying, but as far as the PTR goes, I believe the GMs are going to allow us into the gate(s) once the bosses are finished and ready for testing.

im a retard i wastn around for BWL testing, so i didnt know they cockblocked raids from advancing to bosses that were not finished, i thought that they were going to have the essence drop from other bosses so that to advance you would have to farm other instances, to get the essence to open the gate

but im just the dumb new guy =P
