File a complaint to Steam, so you at least have something written down. Theres a FAQ on this I think on the steam forums.

I had it happen once somehow. Took about 4 days to get my account back. If you have any questions should ask Rez. I think he's been through it like 5 times now :P

some of those have hundreds of dollars of games tied to them

yea some lil faggot asian from new york got mine 3 times, but hasn't in like 2 months. kids wanna have low steamid's to look 'l33t' on their cal teams...sucks having a 5 digit steam account :\

The thing that gets me is I haven't touched steam in like 2 months and I wonder why they only went for the steam account instead of the WoW account or Cod4 account which could potentially be worth a lot more money.

yea that was the weird thing with me...I didn't use steam for like a month and some days and one day it's gone. Also I didn't dl'd anything at all the 3 weeks before it was hacked because I was home at my parent's for xmas break and their dsl sucks so bad...kinda weird

Thanks for the help guys, I submitted a ticket today and they already fixed it for me. My account was stolen by a Mexican who lives in Mexico City :/ My steamid is 141,000 so I dunno why someone would want to steal it.

Did you have to take a picture of one of the CD keys from a game you own that is attatched to the account and put it in the complaint, or is there a way around that?

Just send them all the information you can. I'm sure if you give them tons of personal info they won't care if the CD Key isn't a photo copy. Makes it a lot easier if you've bought stuff online from Steam before.
