Well, I'm pretty much on the opposite side of your opinion. I think it's an awful controller.

Where do I begin? Well, the Left and Right triggers are far too springy and awkward feeling, the Z button/trigger is too small and the placement is awkward, I greatly dislike the face buttons being all different sizes and shapes, the D-pad is just way too small and horrible to use, the C-Stick is just a nub and could have used some sort of grip or something for it (it allowed better accuracy though than the right analog on the PS2 controllers though), the Start button is too small to be sitting in the center of the controller all alone (should have either made it bigger or added a select button) and the shape of the controller itself just feels goofy.

Well, anyway, that's just my opinion.

While I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion, thank you for sharing it in such great detail. Typically you get the "gamecube controller suxxx, ps2 is better" bullshit with not much backing.

I will add that everything you just listed is what I characterize as making it the crowning achievement of controller design.

I have been playing a burnt copy for the last 2 or 3 weeks and iv been enjoying it. Adventure mode was kind of boring but beating the shit out of your friends at 3am is alot of fun.

i use the wii mote and nunchuck and i prefer them to gamecube controller i just never got the hang of that thing.

only thing i dislike is that my copie is in japanese and its a pain in ass to change the settings.

I really cant tell you what the difference is about paying monthly to play WoW and paying monthly to play Xbox Live (I dont have an xbox) but something about paying monthly to play online on my console just makes me say "fuck no"
