Post some mother fucking names. You're not a Starcraft if you don't have Brood Wars.

He made a bet he would go back to playing WoW, if he lost the bet. A bet he thought he coulden't lose. But he did.

I'm always on if my connection is up and time permits from school work.
Please respond here if you play. I would love to start playing with great players again. Also, if you suck, at least it will give me some more people to play with. I have been playing for about eight years and almost all of my active friends have quit.

USWest is better, usually there isn't a difference between Blizzard gateways, but for BW West >>>>> East by so much it isn't even funny.
Most active players have shifted from B.net to Icup (or something like that), so unless you know people on East/West you won't get any good games, if any at all.
I suggest you hit up teamliquid.net and look around there for possible games and/or people, if you want quality non-faggoty games on East/West these days, you really need to know people otherwise it'll be the exact equivalent of running Heroics in WoW with retarded Tanks and Healers, you just won't get anywhere.

As far as skill is concered, one would look for leagues or in general as you mentioned play with koreans on USWest. Europe is good for higher skilled gamers as well. You are correct in your statement of knowing people. Furthermore, some websites to be noted are below:
www.wgtour.com
www.teamliquid.net (as you aformentioned)
Yet, let's stay on topic and say that we are still just looking to get a group of people to play :)

wgtour is dead pretty much now, the skill level is way down from launch
iccup is the way to go since tlt went down
europe is mediocre imo, like they are good but its like they play like they have a skill cap.
If I can find my cd keys I'll join you sometime this week :) I am not that good anymore though...the game has changed so much from the standard stuff on LT.

If you have the game installed, you don't need a CD or CDkey. Just message me on my AIM.

It was old school x17, before the BW days. I was in there with the guy that created it, Annihilator, and the guys like Kid and Proloss. When BW came out I took off for 1st~ with Tsunami and PoT.
Things seemed to go downhill for x17 once it became more of a social hangout instead of an actual 'clan.'

fair enough, didn't start playing seriously till BW so the connotations associated with x17 are all negative :x
too bad tsunami quit, he was a fun zerg to watch.

Some of the -x17 crew are still around today and are still my friends. I have known Abbas for about five years now.

Yeah, he was an amazing Zerg. He was pretty much a Korean in a white guys body.

Almost..some stuff he did was pretty amazing but I don't know if he could keep up game wise to the Koreans, hell the only white player to perform in Korea was Legionnaire and even he admits that it was mostly due to his PvT abilities. Tsunamis ZvP was disgusting though, definitely could have taken a fair share of games against Korean pros.
