fucking search on this board.It's well known that cod4 is easily the best fps right now.

I'm usually disgusted by ww2/desertstorm 1/2 scenarios but this one takes up most of my time ever since i quit wow.

When there are over 15 weapons in the game, and people pick the only gun with the accuracy and range of a sniper thats a one shot kill but also effective in close-range, you have to question whether or not that player is retarded or just bad. Pick a gun that doesn't make you look like a retard.

If you want to use some real skill, play non-hardcore and use the G3 or the M14, two of the hardest weapons to utilize outside of hardcore.

MP5 is so weak on long maps, most pugs can control the covers with nades/flashes so its really not worth it. In pubs though, use the silencer once you get use to a gun, you have no idea how many scrubs rely on the radar to orient themselves.

Evidently, you sir are illiterate. Never did I mention, nor do I care, about when you receive the fucking weapon. Regardless of the fact that you start with it, it's a game breaking weapon and more than 1/4th of the CoD population is using an M16, so there's evidently something askew. Not only is the gun a one shot kill, but if aimed at the chest you can one shot people using the gayest and most common perk in the game, Juggernaut.

On another note, I'm not stating that I can't "handle" the weapon, it's the easiest to use, and I 19 out of 20 times kill the person using it, but there's nothing more irritating than when you're on a good streak and the one kid to kill you, is of course using an M16, so not only do you not get outplayed, but there's no recovery factor. Unless the person wielding the M16 has some sort of terminal illness, you're going to die. Not to mention 4/5ths of the retards using that fucking gun have a noob tube on it, and there inlies an entire other set of issues.

The m16 is a good gun, probably the best overall gun in the game and there is a reason that GOOD players use it. Why would you gimp yourself using any other weapon other than an assault rifle on most maps? Since this is a WoW forum, we'll use a wow refrence, that'd be like playing 2300+ arena with absolutely no resilience. Also, the only time I ever run into kids with retard juggernaut is when I am fucking around in Pub games and then it is usually in conjugation with Martyrdom of course.

Stop complaining about the weapon since it wont be getting nerfed any time soon. There is a reason people like being able to kill juggernoobs in 1 burst. Stopping power exactly cancels out the health benefit of jugg so deal with it.

The ammount of bullshit you just wrote into the thread is amazing.

The most common perk is not Juggernaut, its Martyrdom.

M16 is a good weapon and like in real life a gun is better than a stick like some guns are about as good as.

So what if the M16 is better than the rest of the weapons, the Apache Helicopter was way ahead of its curve when first created, and the Taliban's didnt say, "N00b l2play ak4sevens ftw" (or whichever people who was getting nuked this week)

M16 is not as accurate as a sniper and is not as deadly, it is fairly sucky at close range and good only as a medium - longish range with deeper penetration and stopping power.

If you complain about M16 you really must suck some serious balls.


The only thing I would say about the game is the annoyance of Triple Frags, Juggernaut and Shotty on Vacant, but who gives a fuck, its part of the stunning realism.

Although I uninstalled the game a couple weeks ago its still a great game. Its single player is extremely short, but its still a lot of fun when you don't feel like playing online.

The online life is pretty competative and extremely easy to pick up on. The maps are fairly balanced and bring a sort of realism to them. Personally I like running around with my AK-74 + hip fire accuracy just for some easy mode kills.

But honestly if your looking for a fun FPS that you won't get bored with in a month I suggest picking up Team Fortress 2. The maps are extremely balanced, and by far the most entertaining to play it due to the game types they bring with them. Its got 9 (Right?) different classes to choose from, all of which are balanced and have their own little "perks" to them. Its an all around fun game to pick up if your not a hardcore FPS fan, but it still brings the competativeness that every other FPS has.


Personally if I could choose between the two I'd choose TF2 because of its replay value and broad player base. Although CoD4 also brings the same package its nothing completely original. Its just another shooter that puts you in the place of a soldier, just like all of the other games before it but with tweaks.

The only map I can really think of with a glaring side imbalance is Ambush domination.

Holding A and B is infinitely easier than holding C and B as C is a terrible spawn and it is impossible to get out of that side against a competent team.

I bought TF2 off steam as a stand alone game for $30 US, it was well worth the money imo.

As of a few days ago you can buy TF2/Portal/HL2: Ep2 as stand alones at retail (could have previously done it through steam). Though why you wouldn't want the other two as well for an extremely good offer is beyond me.

Quoted for the truth, Bloc and Ambush Dom needs to be tweaked. Bloc is utterly trash as the middle of the map is entirely unplayable unless you have coordinated smoking which still ends up meaning shit because then you are at disadvantage heading into the buildings anyways because they can still hold your team at those disgusting chokepoints.

I'd still say get TF2 to be honest. From what I found out last night almost all of the old CS:S custom maps work with TF2 seeing as its still a HL2 mod (IE: all surf maps work) and there are some great custom maps specifically for TF2 that are great.

I've reached just over 39% accuracy in CoD4... I use the R700 Sniper Rifle, with bandolier/ UAV jammer/ iron lungs. My kill ratio is like 1.18 ... It's a fun game :)

Honestly though, I'm trying at the moment to reach 45 in Halo 3... a bunch of my friends have done it lately, and say that Lone Wolves (Ranked FFA) is the way to go... I made 43 awhile back... but it seems the competition these days is really good :(

Dude red faction was the shit. Wasn't that the game where if you went to a certain level (like a base vs base map, really small. mirror map) you could take a rocket launcher inside your base and blow up holes ultimately creating a cave to the other base? I used to love doing that.
