So I got an invite. But the torrent is downloading at 29KB/s. I think everyone is having this problem. At this rate noone will play this weekend. Does anyone know another place to download?

Massive fail IMO. Noone seems to be able to download it.

I'm getting 5KB/s now.

Well, I broke down and bought a subscription to gamespot. I am now downloading at a steady total of 870kb/sec. I've never downloaded that fast.

Long writeup of the PvP Weekend:

Also, we had some links going around for a few mirrors of the game (500+KBs), should've hung around BG9. :P

That's just what the silly downers from the general boards say.

Yeah so I played it.

Visually it's stunning, but a bit too dark for me, even the cities are dark. There are no gnomes (8.5/10)

Sound is amazing definitely on par with WOW (9.0/10)

I didn't get a chance to play anything but the opening tutorial and the PVP arenas. The PVP is definitely entertaining. I'm not sure if there is enough diversity in the class abilities (at a macro level) for me. I played every class for atleast an hour in PVP. The bear shaman and priest of set were my two favorites, the ranger class is pretty strong too. Overall for PVP I'd give it a (7/10).

All in all I think I'd give it a shot, but it's going to be really hit or miss, a lot depends on how well they implement the guild system and player built towns / raids. Overall, the game is way too item based for me to be 100% excited about it. Where the fuck is UO 2.0? I like to kill anyone I want and then take whatever I want off their corpse.

max level in the pvp beta was what again? something low right...don't think you can judge the PvP at that low lvl to when you're max lvl (80?) that's like judging WoW's pvp and such when you're lvl 10-15

I've been interested in this game but I was too late to get into the open beta. Waiting for more conclusive reviews once the final version is released.

Warhammer looks pretty cool as well.
