As you may have heard through the rumor mill, some sort of exploit was found on the live servers after 2.0 went live, which made it possible to create virtually infinite amounts of gold. Blizzard is aware of the problem, and has taken some (currently not very radical) measures to control the situation. So share with us your experiences, are you a wow millionaire? Was your account recently suspended? Did you recently receive large amounts of gold? Notice any unusual activity on your server's auction house? Enquiring minds want to know.

nothing has happened on firetree yet, but my friend plays on mannorath and he said several ppl have been suspended (lenght of time unknown). including ppl who recieved the amounts in the mail. he also told me their was a rummor going around that blizz was gonna roll back the server.

This particlular thing happened to 2 of my guildmates on Destromath. Someone sent them each 92k gold in the mail. One of the accounts got banned until "the situation could be investigated". the other one was smart and spread the G out amoung many of his toons and has yet to be banned or contacted by bliz.

No wonder there has been such a HUGE influx in gold marketing in-game, they are trying to sell as much as they can before their accounts get banned.

That would be really shady to have 12 guys all with over 6000g.

However, I think Blizz will probabaly just do some sort of search for characters where their gold is greater than 20k or something... they won't exactly bust their ass over it by scrutinizing every single character.

PST Me for any tips you'd like to share! I'm curious thought, are farmers giving away gold or are people actually using som leet hax? Also, from Vidarc's post, do farmers actually plan on giving away excess hacked gold? I don't mind if they do

Then you'll bitch, and we'll laugh when you tell your sad story. Of course after that you'll make a new account, go to ebay and get more gold and relevel and eveyrthing will be great, because it's not like WoW is a hard game.
