Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.

This is the Celtics game to lose, and they will not do that after blowing a great comeback two nights ago. Going to give you my parlay for tonight, get my payout of $250 which I won from a $40 parlay a few days ago, and come back to break down each one of my picks. Highly suggest laying even a few dollars down on this parlay (yes a long-shot, but a steady one at that) as it is currently paying a bit over 18-1.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.

It was there's to lose, now with the amount of injuries I am not sure. Rondo is on a bad ankle, Pierce bad knee, Perkins isn't 100%, and KG looked semi tired Tuesday night If Lakers win tonight I think they'll have the edge, where as if celtics win, obviously it'll be the end, but I'll go with Lakers tonight.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.

Reason I am going with the Celtics here is matchups. It might actually be to the Celtics advantage having a few of those guys out, lets take a look:

1) Eddie House (Inj. Rajon Rondo): House is a technically more sound individual on defense and can potentially cause some major problems on the individual he has to guard. I assume he will guard Kobe and give Ray Allen some time to catch a breather on defense as the Lakers will almost certainly put the ball in Kobe's hands.

2) Leon Powe (Inj. Paul Pierce). Younger guy, can give you more minutes. Furthermore, he is stronger at rebounding and possibly has a slight advantage on defense. Given Paul Pierce is a high and above better offensive player, there is the potential that Powe could give you some quality points. No, I am not referring to G2 points, although he can still contribute with a solid 5-10 off the bench.

3)PJ Brown (Inj. Kendrick Perkins). PJ Brown is certainly a better jump shooter and can handle himself under the rim rather well. Furthermore, he matches up well with the big men for LA. My one worry is he is older and might not be able to give you the same time of energy a Kendrick Perkins would give you in G4 of this series (lot of wear and tear from having to play so many minutes the past few games). This is one to watch.

4) KG. He will not remain cold. Typically this year after an off night, he bounces back. We were able to see him get a few good looks in the 3Q on Wednesday. What happened? 8 points in a few minutes span vs 2 points the entire first half. An explosive player who is always a threat after coming back from a down game.

If the Lakers win, it all comes down to G5. I would likely hold off on this game as I held off on G3. I wanted to see how the Celtics handeled the hostile environment with their injuries. They did just fine and almost pulled out an upset for what was a 'must win' game for the Lakers.

If the Celtics win, I see it being VERY difficult for the Lakers to win their next one at home then 2 straight in Boston. I doubt you guys care much about my tennis analysis (thats my strongpoint betting-wise) but if I win these picks tonight (Cards -1.5, Celtics- Win), I will give analysis on those a bit later.

*EDIT* Just want to say real quick, this isn't one of my *money in the bank* picks. I would consider it a mid-longshot. I expect 4/6 to cover (all my tennis picks). Cards might win if they have repeat performances of their past 2 games against the same opponent. Celtics, it all depends on how they play in late 3rd/early-4th Q. Look for me to win the tennis picks, I lean heavy on the other 2.

Its over if Lakers lose, while I expect KG to have a big game, I expect same from Gasol/Odom since neither has performed in first 3 games.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.

I'm right there with you with regard to both KG and Gasol. Why? Mainly KG had a solid Game 1 and Game 2. Gasol proved pretty solid (I believe) in 2/3rd Q of G1 and 3Q of G2. Didn't really show up in G3, but likely had an off game, understandable. Odem hasn't shown much in the first 3 games and if he continues this streak tonight, I would look for it to be a close game.

Quick reasoning for my other picks:

STL is going to lose one sooner or later. Have blown out the reds past 2 games. Gut pick, pooljos or however the hell you spell his name is out for a few weeks.

I win at tennis picks and the favorites usually do to.

IN GAME UPDATE:

Cinci- 2

STL- 2

Cinci sucks. Kiss my wager goodbye.

Edit 2:

Thank got for terrible NL BP's...

Cinci- 6

STL- 2

Bottom 8...looks like this one is wrapped up. +1 me.

In game update:

Lakers: 34

Celtics: 12

0:50 left 1Q

Not looking good. I believe the celtics will win the 2nd quarter points wise. Look for the Lakers to be up ~ 10-15 going into 3rd quarter. Far from over, although the lakers are playing amazing, with Odem finally hitting shots (6-6 so far i believe)

Edit 3:

Lakers: 58

Celtics: 40

0:50 left 1Q

Celtics had their chance to cut this to a 10-13 point deficit going into the locker room and blew that. Only bright side for the celtics is Kobe is in foul trouble with 3 going into the 3rd. Only hope the Celtics have is for KG and Pierce to get hot, for Rondo to stay in the game, for Kobe to pick up an early foul in the 3rd, and for a tactical balistic missile hitting the Laker bench. If we don't see the Celtics cut the game to <10 going into the 4th, this one is gone and so is my money.

Edit 4:

Lakers: 73

Celtics: 71

End 3Q

Celtics matched the play of the Lakers in the 1st Q with their play in the 3rd Q. Why on earth did the Lakers not go small when the Celtics did and went on a 14-3 run? Can the Celtics carry the momentum into the 4th or will Phil Jackson and Kobe be able to counter? Stay tuned!

Heh i typed before ure edit. Anyways epic collapse, why couldn't these clowns have played this way vs. the spurs, we coulda actually gotten a 7 games series instead of this crap. I guess Kobe gets to chalk up another choke job in finals, after the year they loss to detroit.

What a game. Best comeback in my life, comprable to the 2002 team with Pierce/Walker. My first 2 picks were wins. If my three tennis picks hold up (which [don't want to jinx myself] are pretty solid), it will be the biggest payday of my life.

I'll post my picks for Sunday sometime late-Saturday/early-Sunday. Want to get information on Perkins' injury, Rondo's condition, as well as any other stuff that comes up by then.

Pick I will make right now: Boston Celtics will be the 2008 NBA champions. Why? They have 3 shots to do so, 2 of those in Boston. Finally, NBA teams are 20-0 (maybe more, not positive) in the NBA finals after leading 3-1. Money in the bank. $$$
