Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.
ya, getting outscored 40-16 was pretty terrible, i dunno what pop was thinking taking timmy out for 3 min when he was the only person who had scored in that quarter, or why he kept putting finley back in, or letting manu take shots in general in the 4th quarter. The only ppl who shoulda been taking shots in 4th should have been timmy, tony and horry.
BTW i told u lakers don't match up well vs timmy, 30/18, they are just gona have to make the ball go through him more the way they did with no.

3-25 with 7 turnovers hahahahahaha. That's fucking absolutely horrible. I can't imagine what their headcoach is thinking atm.
He's probably going crazy in the locker room.
The Spurs have quite a funny weakness though. As the announcer pointed out, the Spurs always have tremendous droughts throughout their games. They will go for extended periods of time without dropping any baskets, and hopefully the Lakers will continue to capitalize upon this.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.
| manu was asleep the whole game, and him and parker had some terrible turnovers at end of 3rd and continued in 4th, i dunno whether they decided to shut it for the night after 20 pt lead, or just were tired, but ya, they need to get over this 3rd quarter melt down they keep doin on road. | |

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.
| The lakers showed some rust in the first half. Manu didn't show up yesterday, but neither did the lakers bench or Odom. So even if Manu plays better, you can expect the lakers will match it. | |

Wow now cowboy. Kobe always had the talent, but now he is truly shining as the best player in the NBA. He has matured greatly as a player, and he doesn't always need to take over the game because he has developed a bond with his teamates. This bond can best be represented by his two points in the first half of the first game versus San Antonio.
I don't think it's fair to pass judgement upon a specific player (or the Lakers) because they are doing so well as a team. Yeah, I understand that one may not like a certain team for whatever reason, but usually the people who don't like the Lakers/Kobe depict a bit of jealousy.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.
Actually its the perception that Kobe is just a one man show that garners alot of the criticism. He doesn't want to score 50, if given the choice, he rather limit their best scorer to 1-20 shooting rather than score 40 points, he plays exceptional defense and everyone overlooks that, watch his game and defensive assignments on the US National Team.
He hasn't matured as a player as much as people think imo, he always been the same "I want to win" Kobe, people keep talking about hows he changed and whatnot, but its the fact that he finally has a good team that he's willing to trust. Like if you had Smush Parker and Kwame Brown being critical elements of your offense, what do you expect? If Kobe doesn't carry the Lakers, wheres the scoring going to come from?
I also like how people forget that Jordan who was a prolific scorer in his first few seasons with the Bulls never made it far in the playoffs either, it wasn't until they added key players like Pippen that they finally made it over the hump.

Re: So. . . Lakers will win everything.
If you remember at the beginning of the season, Kobe was yelling to be traded because he wanted to win championships. This is obviously understandable, but if you think about his acheivments with the young Laker team this season, the maturity is undeniable. He is definitely happy that he stuck around, and I as a Laker fan could not be happier.
Kobe will always have the "I wan't to win" mentality, but let's remember that he is a star. All I was pointing out is that he has helped the team mature, and that really is no way to pass judgement upon one guy. As a closing thought, I want to ask you one question.
If you were in his shoes, would you do the same thing?
