The guy is undeniably the best player at his position, the same way timmy is the best power forward. These guys play with their heart, their work ethic is unquestionable, and they are superstars. It is understandable why kobe was angry at the beginning of the year. Being best player in the game, and being #7 barely in standing would make anyone of his caliber frustrated. He knows hes got about 5 more good years, and hes knows how competitive western conference is. If he didn't threaten, there's a good chance that lakers may have passed up on Gasol and waited out to see if Bynum would return by end of season. As for lakers, i still stand by them not being as good as people think they are. They had an easy playoff schedule, and while they can say Bynum was injured, Jazz can say Boozer was injured, as Spurs can say Manu is injured. This series will be the test of which team is mentally tougher, and if I was lakers, I wouldn't be too happy with performance with even 2-1, considering in 2 games they were down by 20 in second half.

No, every team in the West will be better next season once all the Kidds and Shaqs work out their quarks in their respective offenses. Portland is looming with Oden still waiting to play and the Sonics might get some new life once their franchise gets moved. Once the Spurs blew a 20 point lead at LA, they did not deserve to win the series. Both Pops and Barry said after the game that they agreed with JC's no-call and would have done the same exact thing if they were ref-ing; if you watch the replay if Barry went straight up for the shot, that's a foul easy, but he tried to sidestep and go around Fisher. Then they had their chances to survive in the last game, but can't get over the hump, basically saying we can match you but not overtake you aka we are old. Either way, this Finals will be the most memorable for me, you got the nostalgia, the All-stars, and the unsung benches and role players. Gotta love it.
